As a translator, I bring along the expertise of a native English speaker and qualified linguist and writer who is passionate about creative writing and art.
Backed by an MSc. in Translation and an MA in Art History, plus many years of freelancing experience since 2003, I work in close consultation with publishers in order to craft texts by authors writing in German and French that represent an attractive offer on the English-language market.

The aim behind this website is to allow you to read some samples of my published translation work, find out a little bit about me, and get in touch. It’s basically a giant virtual showcase, containing dozens (if not hundreds…) of pages. Lots of pages. As I hope you’ll find out! Something it does NOT contain, though, is cookies!* There’s no tracking, so I won’t know that you’ve been reading — unless you drop me a line and say so, of course!
*I can’t provide that assurance for external, linked sites.
You’ll see a small poppy at the bottom of each page. These are active poppies! Hover over and click them to find out where they lead.
In the vast majority of cases, the only items of personal data that I need from you (apart from your name) are your e-mail address, so that you and I can communicate and I can deliver your finished translation, plus, in due course, your invoicing address. I will not forward your e-mail address to anyone without your consent. Your invoicing address needs to be retained for accounting and tax purposes. Concerning the rare occasions where any further information that might identify you as a natural person (refer to Art. 4, 1 GDPR) is contained within your translated text, you have my assurance that I as a processor of that data will not divulge this information to any third parties.
The above is my short data privacy statement: for the full version, please click here.
