One of the fundamental questions that the world faces today is knowing whether we are moving toward a multicultural world or toward a global civilization. In my view, there cannot be a global civilization that does not accept the coexistence of cultures, i.e. ethnic groups and languages, while offering these a maximum amount of autonomy. I have believed this since my encounter with François Fontan. Since*!! ten years, in all my major exhibitions, there is always [has always been] a space dedicated to the defense of cultural minorities.
